According to the

condition of optical
system is that point
object changes into dot
image, it means
the light energy emitted
from the object space
can also focus on one
point in image space,
but in reality it is
impossible because of
the presence of
aberrations. Image
quality evaluation
of an optical system is
based on the light
energy distribution in
image space which is
emitted from a point of
object space. In the
conventional image
evaluation, people have
proposed many methods of
image quality
evaluations, resolution
method, star-point
method and shadow method
(knife-edge method) are
