Fluorescence (LIF)

|
Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF), belongs
to spectroscopic diagnose technology, is a new method of
flow visualization and measurement which obtain
real-time two-dimension or three-dimension spatial
distribution information via non-intervention, and
undertakes quantitative measurement of concentration
field, temperature field, pressure field and velocity
field.
Know-why:
According to the material molecular absorption spectrum
and fluorescence spectrum energy level transition
mechanism, choose a suitable laser wavelength through
the detection area, under specific wavelength laser
irradiation, the substance with ability of absorb photon
transition to the unstable upper state, and then in a
certain period back to the ground state. During this
process, molecules release energy via spontaneous
radiation, thereby fluoresce.
Laser induced fluorescence spectrum
obtained through the detector detecting laser induced
fluorescence intensity and distribution. Sample
particles types are detected through fluorescence
distribution analysis, particle concentration and
temperature are obtained from fluorescence strength
analysis, and particle space concentration and
temperature distribution are detected by its spatial
resolution analysis.
At same time, complex flow field
visualization and intuitive analysis can be realized by
using CCD camera or other image acquisition tool to
record flow fluorescent images. |

environmental science and other applications,
such as fluorescent probe detection, capillary
electrophoresis detection, biological disease
